During the tour, "we approach the cliffs that border the sea, from where one of the most beautiful and spectacular panoramas of the Costa Brava dominates,
we can know about 3,000 exotic species.
Marimurtra, declared a Cultural Heritage of National Interest by the government of Catalonia, was founded over eighty years ago by the German Carl Faust,
patron of the biological sciences, with the intention of establishing in Blanes an international headquarters for scientific research.

The Pinya de Rosa is a tropical garden located on a farm of about 50 hectares on the outskirts of the
Population, which represents one of the most interesting living cactològiques libraries of Europe. The collection that presents the garden comprises more than 7,000 species from around the world.
The garden was founded by Ferran Riviere de Caralt, a renowned industrial engineer, who began the creation shortly after acquiring the estate in 1945. The formation of the collections involved years of intense work.
The specimens that were expanding the ensemble came from both their original habitat, botanical gardens, nurseries and private collections around the world.

In the urban nucleus of the town there are elegant eight-hundred houses and important Gothic vestiges as the Gothic fountain, a valuable example of Catalan Gothic civil.
The Palace of the Vizcondes of Cabrera formed a single body of building with the parochial church and was broken down when the Parish of Blanes was instituted in 1319.
The year 1114 The Castell-Palau already belonged to the lords of the Blanesy Family in 1378 The Cabrera bought it.
In 1623 they were sold by court order their property and acquired the merchant Esteve Alemán.
The Palau dels Cabrera was used as a barracks for the troops who traveled the region and the excesses and little consideration of the soldiers were the cause that it was not made to rebuild what fell.
Of the artistic or architectural aspect that we are left today it is possible to emphasize the bell tower and the facade of the XV century.
The rest was rebuilt after the war. It is a magnificent source of civil Gothic style so scarce that we can consider it remarkable and unique.
The source was made by the daughter of the Count of Prades, Na Violant de Cabrera, in the early fifteenth century.
At the highest point of the city, stands the mountain of Sant Joan, with the remains of the castle with the same name, which retains a slender 11th-century tower.
It was built by order of Grau de Cabrera in the middle of the thirteenth century. Although the tower is from the time of Charles I, there is no doubt that in previous times there was a fortification.
Today Sant Joan determines the unmistakable profile of our villa and has become an excellent viewpoint from which to observe Blanes in its entirety,
in addition to a good part of the coast.
